The hotel is under construction. There was stuff everywhere. No drink or snack machine. We had just got in from a big track meet and drinks and snacks was a must! We got to the room and on the way up it drunk so bad. The elevator felt like they would break any minute. There was dirt all in the floors. We get to our room and the floors are dirty, bugs in the floor, carpet is coming up, mold by the fridge, nasty toliet, nasty air filter in air conditioner, stains on the sheets!! It was bad.

Do not stay here.
No hot water and had apparently been that way for at least 3 days. No one advised us of that at check in. Do not stay here.

Rms not thoroughly cleaned. Dont use 3rd party.
Rooms not thoroughly cleaned. Glass piece found on bathrm fl. Orange peel, candy wrapper, & key found on batrh rm fl in one of our other rooms. Carpet wet under desk. Lg fan in room when we checked in. Microwave had tons of finger prints. Shower wall cracked. Hair dryer missing. Beds were clean though. Front desk stafe very good. Gave us extra Honors pts. Couldn't give moneyback on rm because it was booked through third party/hotels.com. I won't use third party again.

Not Good
Musty smell, dirty carpets, dirty moldy tubs, no baseboards in hallway - front desk clerk said the hotel just went through a remodel so she wasn’t sure what I was talking about.

Not great.
The hotel was older which was fine. It definitely could use some upgrading. The room was clean but could have been better. The hot water didn't work very well. We had to let the shower run for 25+ minutes before the water turned barely warm. It never got hot. We were very disappointed that everything in the fitness center was out of order and couldn't be used. The door to our room was very difficult to get open with the keycard. It took multiple attempts each time and wiggling the card just right. The side exterior door wouldn't open with the keycard and we noticed multiple times that other guest were propping the door open with sticks and water bottles so they didn't have to go all the way to the front. I felt that was extremely unsafe. Anyone could have came into the hotel. My husband and I were disappointed with our stay.

Check-in was very easy. I was able to do it via Hyatt app so it only took a couple minutes when we got here very good customer service. The property is undergoing an extensive renovation so it’s not in the best shape, but it was a comfortable sleep and breakfast was good overall it was a good stay For one night

Awesome place to stay.
My trip was amazing. The staff was friendly and professional. Starting from the time I checked in I felt nothing but welcomed. Eric, Raven, Natural, Ms Pat, and Edwindra showed so much hospitality. I will definitely stay here on my next visit to Birmingham.

Good stay
Staff friendly, hotel is dated, but it was clean. Offer good breakfast, however, staff not attentive, and some items ran out, with no restock before I left.

Stay was ok. Staff was nice. Had to request for service. It was done except one day it was not.

EWTN Visit
Room was ok and bathroom still needed renovation on floor boards. Could use a wastebasket in suite area. Very convenient to EWTN which was our main. Reason for visit.

We were harassed on the elevator by a older man and the lady at the front desk was very understanding in how uncomfortable we were that his room was next door and she tried to have our room moved but wasn’t able. However when her shift was over a man took over the front desk and he was very unhelpful. He had big headphones on the whole time he was dealing with us and genuinely did not act like he cared. We ended up leaving at midnight just two hours after we checked in because our door would not lock and our toilet would not flush. The man at the front desk looked at the toilet and said there’s nothing he could do about it. He made no comments about the door not locking and said we could leave if we wanted but couldn’t promise us we would get a refund. No one should ever be expected to stay in a room with no lock and no toilet.
