Good stay with some caveats.

No air conditioning but fine on all but the hottest days. Steep stairs, no elevator for floors 1&2. Otherwise our room was clean but sheets and towels in other family room were not. Stained despite washed. Courteous and helpful staff were not always available (eg. at 6:30 one weekday evening, or late night). Excellent location, comfortable sleep.

Myself and a friend both had a small single room which sufficed for our weekend stay Staff were friendly, rooms very clean. -Property overcharges on city tax. Didn't provide a receipt and when asked for a refund, only gave back half of what they owed us. -Woke up with bug bites on our bodies and blood stains on the sheets. Very stressful experience because we had to carefully check our luggages and clothes to make sure we weren't bringing bed bugs home. -Property feels more like an upscale hostel. Way too expensive for what you're getting. -The bathroom is the size of a small shoe closet. Barely any room to move around. There was no counter space and the sink is the size of a football. Impossible to wash your face without water spilling all over the floor. When you take a shower, water leaks out onto the tile floor creating a huge and slippery mess. The water only goes up to a certain temperature and pressure isn't strong enough. -Poor wifi connection -No air conditioning so it gets really hot in the room. Had to sleep with the windows open and could hear people talking and shouting outside. If your room is facing the front of the building, the smell of cigarettes wafts into your room when windows are open. -Walls are paper thin so we heard doors opening and banging shut all night. -No cable TV. -Stairs are extremely steep. -It's a 10 min walk to get to the nearest tram stop. -No staff at reception from around midnight to 7am.

Für einen kurzen Städtetrip perfekt. Man sollte keine Erwartungen wie bei einem 5 Sterne Hotel haben aber die 3 Sterne Treffens echt gut. Zimmer und alles waren sauber und komplett ausreichend wenn man sowieso nur zum schlafen dort ist. Das Bad etwas eng aber für mich nicht weiter schlimm.

My experience wasn't great. The hotel is overall OK, but the room doesn't have any curtains to block the light, and considering how early the sun rises in Amsterdam at the moment, it's a major issue. The room was terribly hot at night and there was no remote for the air-conditioning in the room. It needs to be requested at the reception and pay a deposit for it. Also I travel to Amsterdam every month for work and I've never been asked to pay the tourists tax cash, or pay an extra fee to pay by card before. But here they do it. True that they communicated it before the arrival, but if I would have known it before, I wouldn't have booked this place. Imo, there are much better options in the area.

Mer som att låna rum från gammelmormor än hotell

Hotellrummet vi fick liknade inte bilden på hemsidan, tycker heller inte det är okej att kalla det för hotell när det mer känns som att man hyr ett rum i någons lägenhet. Rummet var stort för 2 personer men för 3 tjejer blev det ganska trångt. Badrummet var litet men hade bra förvaringsytor. Färgade handdukar är något jag personligen inte tycker om då det känns gammalt men där kan alla tycka olika. Inredningen kändes gammal och jag är glad att jag inte bokade rummet ensam då den mörka interiören gav en haunted house känsla. De som jobbar i receptionen var dock väldigt hjälpsamma och vänliga, fanns lite fika de bjöd på också. Vet att många har klagat om trapporna och vill bara förtydliga att bilderna inte gör den rättvisa, det var värre än jag trodde. Är man smått berusad känns det som att det är en mission att ta sig upp eller ner utan att ramla och bryta nacken. Läget var dock ca 5-10 min promenad ifrån leidseplein vilket är ett bra läge för att kunna komma åt allt möjligt. Det var väldigt tyst utanför på gatorna men rummen i sig hade papper till väggar, det gick att höra när någon hostade i rummet bredvid. Kommer inte boka här igen på grund av skicket och känslan man får av ”hotellet” men personalen som sagt var jätte söta och hjälpsamma med allt.

Två nätter med familj. Hissen är extremt liten och tar bara två personer. Trapporna är små och mycket branta. Vår TV fungerade vilket vi påpekade första dagen. På eftermiddagen andra dagen kom en kille men han kunde inte laga den. En kopp var odiskad och använd. Ställde den i handfatet på toa. Städerskan diskade inte den utan ställde bara tillbaka den. Rummet var i fint skick och rymligt. Det är mycket lyhört men vi stördes inte mycket. Läget är mycket bra på en lugn gata men mycket nära stan. Vi promenerade överallt. Totalt sett ett typiskt trestjärnigt hotell.

Var väldigt bra läge tycker jag, i ett bra område med närhet till affärer och restauranger. Dock var det väldigt lyhört på hotellet. Kunde höra allt och alla så det blev inte mycket sömn alls. Fick även inte någon information om att det skulle ske någon slags renovering på morgonen, vilket även störde sömnen. Rummet var även väldigt smalt och det hade varit bra med information kring det. Personalen var behjälpliga vid behov vilket gör att vistelsen blev bättre.
