Overall is ok, 30min drive from the Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon and close to Höfn for grocery. A very quiet area with glacier outlets surrounding. The cabin a little bit small if you have some luggages to open. The cleanliness of the cooking utensil, pots and pans depend on the previous traveller occupied the cabin, given there is no dishwasher. The water supply is limited and hot water runs from a small electric boiler. You need to wait a while after another person has taken a hot shower. The last thing is just happened the window behind our bed could not completely shut when the lock was turned completely into lock position, the wind gust went through tiny gap causing loud noise. We had to work around by turning the lock slightly just before the release position to keep the window shut. That lock handle probably needs fixing.

Excelente lugar para Hofn Jokulsarlo y Fjallsarlon
Habitacion amplia y con cocina equipada. Amplia zona de estacionamiento. Ventanas grandes y balcón para poder ver las auroras. Hermosas vistas de las montañas. El hospedaje nos hizo un upgrade a una mejor habitación, lo que fue perfecto para nuestra estadía de 3 noches. Mucho que hacer y ver en la.zona.

A little off the beaten path, but in between Diamond Beach and Hofn. There is no reception area. Therefore, do not expect any amenities that come with that assistance or common space. Rooms are private and spacious. Bathrooms are tights though. The rooms come with a large window that gave us a fantastic view of the Northern Lights all night long. The remoteness of the hotel provides those dark skies. Great spot overall, especially if you know what to expect when you arrive.

The cabinet is brand new, neatly maintained and nicely designed, with full kitchen and a big scenic window overseeing the stunning snow mountain view and also with a skylight at right above the bed enabling stary view or aurora scenary while sleeping if you are lucky enough. The host and the staffs are enthusiastic and are willing to provide all assistance for your need. I was panic for my car broke down, they offer help for sending me to the Glacier Lagoon to meet up the tour and also help me to handle the issues. I would here give a great compliment to the host and the staffs of HH gisting and highly recommend this accomodation. I will definitely come back if visiting Iceland.

Our stay here was okay. We really liked the view and how big the windows were as well as the ceiling window, it made for a great way to see the stars and the northern lights. However, some things were not the most comfortable such as the pillows (provided 2 pillows but they were extremely flat), the window in our unit was not totally closed/sealed and the knob was locked so it seemed that the window had a bit of a flaw as it let a lot of cold air in and one of the days we stayed in was very windy so it made for a very cold night as we could feel the cold wind get in over our heads since the beds were above the window, have to time our showers since hot water is limited, and lastly, could smell the sceptic tank outside the unit at the parking area. Host were very responsive to our questions though and they seemed like nice people.

This place was amazing, was not expecting this at all. Everything is brand new and check-in instruction was super smooth. Best of all we were able to see the northern lights at night! Would 10/10 recommend.

it was a quiet and decent stay with a nice view from the room. I believe you may be able to see northern lights from the room if the sky is clear. Room and spacious and clean. simple kitchen utencils provided.

Beautiful picture window over the bed, highlighting the glacier. Had a gorgeous view of the northern lights. Just enough space for two people, very clean, easy check in and out. Kitchen area good for a very simple meal.

We had a mixed experience with the cottage, mostly due to the storm outside. This caused a lot of noise inside, which kept us from a good night's sleep. The cottage itself was good, but some of the amenities were kept to the bare minimum. For example, there's only 5 minutes of warm water in the shower. The kitchen had only 2 glasses, 2 knives, 2 forks and so on. This could have been a bit more generous.
