A vibrant location but quiet by the canal! I had stayed two previous nights in a different room! Tired from a long drive and in some pain so slept in all the following day to be met by my Danish ex neighbour and his brother, was refreshed enough to get out to eat with them and on the last night walked to the Paradiso music venue for a great concert!

The hotel is very dated and basic, but was a fine base for our stay in Amsterdam. The location is great and there's lots to see and do in close walking distance. Be mindful that there's no air conditioning so even in spring on warm days the rooms are very hot and stuffy, and a 'double room' is actually just two single beds pushed together!

Located in a gem of a neighbourhood and surrounded by some of the best shops and restaurants. The staff are all incredibly nice and helpful, the room are small but cozy, and there is the best cafe setup on the main level with warm lighting and free coffee. Best place to read and write.

A nice, clean hotel with wonderful staff. And I loved that they had an elevator! Price was reasonable and I would consider staying here again.

The room was small but enough for one night stay. It was clean, there is free coffee at the reception area all day long. What impressed me the most was the receptionist: amazing lady, friendly, kind: she offered me a hairdryer as I was soking wet even thkugh I have checked out.

Good staff and good coffee. Rooms are very small, old and you can hear all noises in the hotel. Very expensive for what it’s worth

Great location, quiet. Compact but comfortable, small shower. Staff was very helpful both before our stay with some reservation changes, and during our stay. The coffee maker in the lobby is industrial grade, haha. Thanks

First room was so small it was impossible to get from one side of the bed to the other. Should NEVER be rented as a double room. Next room (after complaining) a little bigger but workers directly outside the only window meant it had to be closed with curtains pulled - and NO A/C. Even though right on the canal the room outlook was atrocious. Only teamaking facility was in a common area - which was nicely done. Overall very disappointed.

Nice people, nice clean room but noisy location and constant smell of marijuana from the street.

There are lots of opportunities for you to get to easily. A couple of drawbacks, NO air conditioning (but they did have a fan in the room), Parking, if you plan on bring a car, don’t.

8/10 Very good

I was in a single room, which was tiny and had only a small window and a view if rooftops, which wasn’t terrible. The sun came in afternoons. What I liked was the very nice attached bathroom. For the price it was a very good deal, being on the Prinsengracht Canal and so close to many restaurants.

Great little room for an amazing stay

The room was very small but comfortable with a nice bathroom, twin bed and a tv. It was in the basement so no view but that’s ok. I spent all day outside anyway. Tge location is amazing! The staff was amazing; welcoming and helpful. Best free coffee around :) thank you!

The hotel is in front of a canal but there’s several coffee shops around and the smell was unbearable. Windows at the hotel need to be updated with double pane windows to limit the noise.

Very nice ubication, near to Heineken Experience and Rijksmuseum. The room was clean. The check in was fast and they store our carrie on luggage for a few hours. I paid for a double bed but instead of that they put just two twin beds together. And no breakfast included, 10 euros is to much. In the same street just in the corrner is a very good bakery thats open at 7 am.

Good for the service and centrally located

Short 2 night stay, l late night arrival. I was greated by young lady and at first gave me a room in the basement, but I asked if she had something in upper level, she kindly offered another 1level room, which was smaller but less creepy, which was maybe 10x10ft with prvt. Bathroom... I just noticed there was black mold spots at the base/ corners, but forgot to mention it to the front desk
Amsterdam shops and canals so amazing

2/10 Poor

Refuses to refund money after fathers death

My father passed away and I had to cancel my trip to plan the funeral and burial services. I asked very nicely on three occasions via email for some type of refund just out of kindness. While the hotel staff responded and told me hotel management had to make the decision, I never heard one thing, yes or no, on my request. To make it worse, the hotel used my email requesting a refund to email me day of my booking asking when I will arrive. Very insensitive. I did not cancel my reservation because I think it’s absurd for a hotel to be able to collect my money and then rebook a very busy, popular hotel and make twice the money on a single room. I do NOT recommend this hotel as they showed an utter lack of compassion and empathy towards my situation.
