Château de Bellefontaine, บาเยอ

Really nice hotel in a great city. Staff was very professional; however not overly friendly. Breakfast was only fair and not worth the amount they charge. Hotel and room was very good. I would recommend but would also recommend travelers to do breakfast elsewhere.

A comfortable change from the busy Paris. A quite town during the winter. The chateau had a great dinner. A little far from town center (20 min walk). Helpfully staff.

Part of an anniversary trip. Beautiful country setting within walking distance of town.

This is a small chateau on the edge of Bayeux, which is not a big city so it is easy to get to the center and other places if you have a car. There is ample on-site parking and fairly direct routes to important sites. The place is minimally staffed, but there is always someone on duty to help. The waitress at dinner was terribly overworked and needed assistance. She did a remarkable job nonetheless. The restaurant was closed on our second night for a private party, which we were not told about so we had to go into the center of Bayeux to eat. Our room was huge with a bathroom to match. Modern bathroom fixtures, drive in shower. Everything worked and was clean. Nice breakfast in two of the large ground floor rooms. The grounds are nicely kept with a pond that is home to several white and black swans.

Beautiful buildings and setting. Breakfast was fantastic. Sitting room in main building has huge fireplace and is very comfortable. Our room was in the "Annex" which is detached from the main building. It was very cold when we arrived and took hours to warm up. Wi Fi does not work in the Annex so you have to dress and go to the main building to use it. In winter that's a pain.
