Every Amenity at a Great Price
I have to make period visits to Pasadena and this is the third time I've stayed at the Rose and Crown and each time I'm more impressed with the quality of the accommodation and the value for money.
The rooms are a good size, spotlessly clean, modern, with every amenity you need (eg fridge, microwave, safe, hair dryer, iron, flat screen TV). The shower is powerful with complimentary soap, shampoo and conditioner.
There is on-site free self-parking (in my case I could see my car from my bedroom window) - and free parking in Pasadena is real bonus.
There is a breakfast included in the price, and the choice is surprisingly extensive - I was first in line though so I had all the options available, but nevertheless it adds further value to what is already a very reasonable room rate.
The staff are friendly and efficient, the location is ideal, right on Colorado Boulevard, a short-ish (20 minutes) walk to some great restaurants and bars, so once the car's parked you don't need to drive if you want food and refreshment.
There is also a pool, but I've never yet had time to use it on any of my stays.
In short it has everything to rival some of its much fancier and more expensive competitors, I can unhesitatingly recommend it and give it 5 stars.
