Quaint little alley hotel close to food , boats and sites. Only downside is the 2 very steep staircases you have to climb after a long day of walking. Not very mobility issue friendly. If you have back issues etc pass. Decorated lovely, comfotable. The ahower situation is weird and left the floor flooded but the bath tub is wondrful for soaking. Quiet and safe area.

Excellent location. Average room with simple amenities but reflected in the price. Our room was not located within Hotel Lux but just around the corner on the 3rd floor (without a lift) so please note if you have large amounts of luggage.

DO NOT STAY HERE

I can't believe this is supposed to be a 3 star hotel. Everything is dusty, broken or cracked. I dont know when the pictures were taken but they need an update. I read the reviews before booking and it looked fine but when we got to our room it was a disaster. Worst hotel I've stayed in, thankful we only stayed a couple of days.

I enjoyed the proximity to San Marcos square. We walked all Venice and enjoyed the sightseeing. The room was cute and clean. The staff was friendly and welcoming. They offer breakfast for a fee but we didn’t have time to enjoy it. My only complaint is the bed. Hard as a rock. Also, they should mention that guests need to haul their luggage upstairs. This information will give the customers the option to choose it or take less baggage. Thank you.

Nice Location in Venice

Quaint little hotel but very demanding to bring luggage up to upper floors as there is no elevator and only 2.5 feet wide. Friendly staff and great location, however. Bed was hard and view was of an alley, not of the canal as depicted in some photos. Would stay again but with reduced expectations.

Do yourself a favor , please book any other property …. Nasty room , worse customer service from front desk staff , room full of mold on the walls . TV and internet non existent. !!!! Save the headaches and your health . NOT worth it at ALL .

Hotel location is wonderful. 5 min walk to the major water taxi stations and major attractions, shopping centres. Staff are very kind, polite, very helpful. The hotel does not have an elevator and it has about 15 steps just to get to reception and then another 20 steps to each floor. So travel light and if you have big luggage’s good luck climbing. The rooms are not renovated and it looks dirty especially the carpet looks moldy and black and there is no hotel slippers so bring your own slippers. The shower drain was clogged so it was fun to shower in a clogged pool of water. There is also no heating in this season (spring) so if you are cold either layer up or ask for extra blankets. Overall, aside from the reconditioned building we enjoyed our stay cause you really can’t beat the location.

Room is very small, the window is high, not easily accessible and has no mosquito screen, which is mandatory. The bathroom is too small, the bath/shower is not even adult-sized, so small it is impossible to use shower curtain! Otherwise, location is good, service is excellent

The rooms are in a sad state. The heating did not work well. The TV did not work properly, only very few Italian channels. The staff are friendly and do their best, but the hotel itself does not deserve that name. The location near St. Mark´s Square is the only highlight. The rooms are narrow, but the bathroom amenities function. Not recommendabble for a plesant stay.

I was on the 4th floor of a separate building, with no elevator. With the heat and jet lag it was brutal to get up and down from my room. I do no recall seeing this info in my booking. This limited my trips in and out of the hotel, and I am a very physically able person.
