From arriving to leaving the staff were very friendly and service was very good. Rooms are spot on and location is brilliant. History to the hotel is also very interesting from Charles Dickens and Captain Cook staying there!
Breakfast was fantastic with all local produce on offer giving a high class look and taste.
The only thing I can see being an issue for guest with mobility issues, could be the stairs as they’re quite steep and narrow further up but most similar hotels will have this due to the age of build.
Overall, we found our stay a very enjoyable one and highly recommend this hotel. It’s excellent value for money. We are already looking to rebook for later in the year.
Parking, if you can get a space is only some 150 yards down the road and 24hours for £9 so again, pretty reasonable.
