Honestly, this is a no frills hotel. You get what you pay for and I guess I should have paid a little more. The front desk staff was attentive and very welcoming. They even accomodated me with items to make my tea when I arrived late at night which was great. I headed to my room and noticed that the place it definitely dated. The lobby, staircase and hallways seemed very dated. The room however was clean with a comfy bed, and no bedbugs.
After settling in I took a shower and the showerhead did not provide much water pressure, but it was OK. I did finally fall asleep, but was woken several times by noise from the highway and main road outside. This hotel is literally right next to the highway, and it is LOUD. I could clearly hear traffic all night, I ultiimately had to take something to help me sleep with the noise. The following morning I woke up to get ready and after cleaning up I grabbed the hair dryer to help clean the steam from the mirror, only to get some unknown oilly substance on my hands that would not wash off. I am not sure what it was, but I dared not touch it again.
THe next night I stayed I figured I needed to find a way to handle the noise so I turned on the AC unit to see if that would mask the highway noise. Unfortunately the unit was LOUDER than the highway with the AC on. However, if you leave just the fan on, it is a decent compromise to both noises.
Overall the staff was awesome, the bed was comfy, but I would stay somewhere else next time
