Check in was great and overall service was good. The room could have used some minor upgrades with paint chipping and peeling in the bathroom. Overall it was good for the room rate. Nothing negative to say!

Holiday Inns are not what i thought it was!

Checked into the room, there was a cigarette butt on the telephone, the tv wasn't working, candy wrapper behind the nightstand, and food crusted on the carpet by the garbage can. The hotel hot tub jets didn't even work it was like a tub with hot water! The pool chemicals bleached my swimsuit. Only good thing was the breakfast in the morning and the location of the hotel.

This is our favorite place to stay in Devils Lake. The staff is so kind and caring, willing to help if you need anything. The rooms are clean, the breakfast is always good and hot.

GROSS!

Disgusting hotel. For a Holiday Inn this was terrible. When we first arrived we were given a room that was not cleaned from the previous guest. While waiting for our new room I overhead two other guests complaining about the price and things not working. When we got in the elevator only one light was working so it was very dark. Our whole floor wreaked of puke for our entire 3 day stay. The new “cleaned” room was so gross. Black mold all over the bathroom, hair, dust, etc covered every surface. It was like you didn’t want it to touch anything because it was so dirty. DO NOT STAY HERE!

Conveniently located hotel in Devils Lake close to shopping, gas stations, and restaurants. The staff were friendly and seemed to care about their responsibilities. Our hotel room was clean and comfortable, although it seemed the walls in the hotel were a bit "thin", as you could hear a fair bit of peripheral noise. The complimentary breakfast was tasty and met our expectations. Overall, the Devils Lake Holiday Inn Express was worth staying in, especially at the rate we were able to get.

Was good. At breakfast tgere were several items out. The male attenant, walked by seeing several times, and never replenished items. When a person stays because of “hot breakfast”, it should be good….not a half breakfast.

Staff was not friendly or welcoming. They ran out of food during breakfast. Juice machine was out of order and there was a sign to get juice from fridge but there was no juice in fridge. Today, there was no juice or milk for cereal. Our room was not cleaned efficiently, still had hair on hand towel and shower stall.

Overall good!

Breakfast was good every morning! My only complaint would be that I was not told that we would not have room service for 4 days unless requested. We found the slip of paper in the card holder when we put the cards back in the holder for checkout. Everthing for boat ramps, restaurants, gas, and groceries are all within short driving distance!
