Our room was comfortable and clean. Complimentary amenities included flip flops, bath robes, local brand water bottles, fruit, and the usual toiletries. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a good time. They were very attentive and helpful—I’ve never seen this level of service in the U.S. Carlos recommended many great places to enjoy local Vietnamese food, coffee, and site—he wrote all of this down on a map of the area. They can arrange tours for you, but were never pushy about the tours. There was always someone to greet us and open the door for us when we leave or enter the hotel (Eric!). The breakfast they provided was delicious. There was a combination of Vietnamese food and western food provided and the menu changed slightly every day. Examples: pho (Vietnamese noodle soup), bun cha (grilled pork), dishes with shrimp, pate, cheese, fresh bread, omelette, scrambled eggs, croquette, fresh fruit juice, yogurt and so much more—this is not the kind of complimentary breakfast you will ever see in the U.S. The only thing I would say could be improved on is the plumbing; I don’t think you should flush toilet paper. There's a nice trash bin with a lid to discard paper. Highly recommend this hotel. It was in a great location too; they were minutes walk away from the Hoàn Kiếm Lake, the night market, great food and bars, but it’s situated on a quiet street where loud beeping of cars and motorcycles and music from the bars cannot be heard. It was safe to walk at night.
