Swissotel Buyuk Efes Izmir

This is a very elite hotel with true 5-star feel. It is obvious all hotel employees have been well trained. They have an attitude that they are there to help guests with any need. The sanitation and hygiene were impeccable. Everything from menus to silverware came in sealed plastic for protection, and there is a ten minute video showing all the hygiene steps being taken at the hotel in light of the pandemic. The breakfast was incredible, very high quality. We enjoyed eating outside, and the food was behind glass and served by masked employees. The art in the hotel is interesting and beautiful, and the rooftop bar has fantastic views of the city. We actually liked this hotel so much we decided to stay another day. The location is very close to the water and several delicious seafood restaurants, very near the shopping district of the city. I enjoyed the free parking. We liked that our room had a balcony and the shower was fantastic. The front desk staff helped me with some phone calls regarding our rental car as well.

Worst service in Turkey. Particularly check in. No upgrade given, lied to. Unhelpful staff. Wouldn’t take any Visa of my cards at check in so had to get cash for a deposit!. Ignored at bar on all visits. Dreadful. Check out was fine though as were pool staff and breakfast room staff.

Lovely large rooms. Pillows too soft but they do have a pillow menu which i did not use. Nice side view of the sea. Quiet location and rooms. Breakfast nice selection.

Best place to stay in town

A stunning Hotel, where my every need was catered for, staff were charming, spotless clean and Covid aware. Pool awesome and food was yummy, I had dental surgery so ate a lot if the home made soups and omelettes.

Everything was just perfect. We loved it and we will definitely stay here the next time.

Excellent Hotel in great location in Izmir. Free car parking and easy walking distance to amenities. Very nice pool area and a great view from the Sky bar. Good value for a hotel of this caliber. Oils recommend and will stay again.
