This is a nice hotel with a vintage feel to it. There is a wedding chapel and seems to be popular. The subway track is right across the street. It is convenient but also a bit noisy early in the morning when the trains ran by as our room faced the tracks. Old hotel but near Osaka airport express platform

The hotel is about some 40+ years old, not dirty but kind of outdated. Location near Osaka Station West Exit which is the entrance of Haruka train platform, however need walking about 15 minutes to Umeda Center area. Room size was just ok for Japan's hotel room standard, barely space for opening 2 large suitcases. Need to walk back to Umeda center area for breakfast, dinner & supermarket. Next to railway track which is quite noisy.
Not sure if this is the front gate, but I usually walk thro' the underground street connecting to the hotel's B1F
Lighting is not adequate, very dark at room corner.

We stayed at a near by hotel for a couples days first and extended our Osaka trip staying at Monterey. We wished we booked here from the beginning!! Nice set up, spacious room. We loved their pillows! Cute decors too. West Exit of Osaka Station from Subways was a little confusing but we got used to it. 7 Eleven was by JR station and one near by. Easy walking distance to a lot of restaurants and Umeda area for shopping and transportation. This will be our hotel for Osaka stay!!
