This is not a typical hotel. We were met at the front of the building by front desk person and escorted to the second floor where their hotel floor is at. The staff member was very friendly and helpful. He actually saw my friends, leaving to the cathedral and walked with them and told them where to go, which was very nice. The location is fantastic. There is a bar /cafe on the first floor and they were very nice. Lastly, the hotel arranged for a transportation to the airport and it went off perfectly. I really enjoyed Catania and when I go back I will stay here again.

very beautifully refurbished property on the inside, with contemporary furniture (a quirky round bed which is better in theory than in practice, especially with the air con facing it), modern bathroom (though had a bit of water leaking from the shower and insufficient storage space in the bathroom for toiletries) and very friendly staff. Need to contact the staff before arrival as they are not at the property all day, but even though we arrived early they were with us in less than 15mins. Easily walkable to all areas of interest in Catania with excellent bars and restaurant in the immediate vicinity. Transport-wise it is a quick 15mins walk to Catania train station, and a 20min ride to the airport.

This is the second of two Dome Suites locations in Catana. It is in an old building, on a fairly rough street, but the rooms are less than one year old and ours was superb with modern materials and furnishings. We had an inner-courtyard room which was completely quiet. The host, Nikola, was completely accommodating and attentive. We were served an excellent a la carte breakfast in our room. The Dome is located close to all the main sights in Catana and just two blocks from the main square. The bed was a bit too firm for us, and there were quite a few stairs to climb, although Nikola was always ready to help with luggage. We highly recommend this accommodation.

Perfect stay

The stay at Dome was the best of our trip, and overall the best in a while. Nicola is truly the perfect host - everything went super smoothly from booking to check-in and service during the stay. He is so helpful with everything one might need. The room was new, clean and stylish. The AC worked wonderfully and the location was perfect for exploring (and a good night’s sleep). Truly a perfect stay!

Nice hotel close to everything.

Nicola was fantastic and was extremely helpful and responsive. Gave us info on places to go and places to avoid and made our stay a great one by always being available for assistance. The place is very nice, however, if you plan on cooking like me it could use pans, chopping board and there’s not a lot of counter space. Otherwise I highly recommend. Close to everything.
