Terrible Communication
The hotel gave us the wrong room the first 2 nights, not what we were shown/paid for based on hotels.com. When I asked them at check-in, they told me it was the same room and made me feel like I was crazy. When I checked again on hotels.com 2 days later I checked the pictures of the room I was shown, my booking information and told the hotel that they did in fact give us the wrong room, the wrong view but still charged for the superior room. They said they would move us the room I had booked and did so after 2 nights. I have been waiting for a resolution regarding the price difference for over 3 weeks now and nothing has been done. The hotel never responded to any communication from us or hotels.com. Hotels.com has not been much help in resolving the issue either.
Additionally the hotel has terrible communication within their spa. We had our treatments changed on us 2 days in a row without any prior notification or approval, but rather during mid-treatment. It caused a lot of frustration and surprise as this was supposed to be our babymoon. Really ineffective communication from the hotel, the spa, and even our villa host regarding what was going on.
