Perfect for a weekend skiing - very close to lift
Nice hotel, very friendly and helpful staff, nothing was too much trouble. They arranged taxi, ski hire and lift pass. location brilliant. Communication with hotel before trip very good. We upgraded to half board, food was very nice and great choice. Friendly atmosphere. We also had a large room, with large bath and shower. The room was upgraded FOC

Super hotel, great location.
My son and I had a family room for four nights before Christmas. We had planned to ski in Igls using the nursery slopes right opposite the hotel. Unfortunately with a lack of snow this year we weren't able to make use of the super location to the slopes, but we would like to return to this hotel should the conditions be more favourable. Not to be put off, the hotel staff were extremely helpful in guiding us onto a free bus from the village to the glacier, around 45 mins away, where we had an amazing ski experience. Our room was very spacious and clean. Facilities were great, being positioned along the corridor opposite to the swimming pool advantageous. We enjoyed our swim each day and made use of the sauna facilities, often being the soul guests in the pool. The buffet breakfast was good and we ate two nights in the hotel in the evening and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meal.

Ski Holiday Heaven
This is the place to stay for a ski holiday! The hotel is literally across the street from the lift and if there isn't enough snow there, then there is a free ski shuttle to take you to Stubai for awesome skiing on a different mountain. There's a ski hire shop two minute's down the road, they have a ski equipment storage room on site that you can use for free, and the airport is less than 20 minutes away (about €25)! The food was great and the staff were very friendly and helpful. I can't say enough about this hotel! We just got home and already can't wait to stay there for our next ski holiday!

Lovely stay, despite no snow
We had a lovely holiday here with our 6 year old son. Even though there was no snow we skied everyday at the glacier via the daily free bus. The hotel staff were very helpful in terms of finding out information about ski lessons at the glacier. We enjoyed the facilities including the swimming pool and sauna. If there had been snow the hotel would had been a ideal location being opposite the ski lifts. Transport links into Innsbruck were also very good with a bus stopping outside the hotel every ten minutes.

The setting was beautiful, quiet, peaceful. Great nearby park and walking trail. The breakfast was very good. There were several nearby restaurants. The room was spacious and comfortable with good seating area; the balcony offered a great view. We appreciated the in-room refrigerator.

Location + value + hospitality
Very satisfied with this last-minute booking. While it may not be the fanciest, most luxurious 4-star hotel in Innsbruck or Igls, it's a well-managed, clean and comfortable facility with exceptional service and warm hospitality -- and an excellent value for the price paid in this location. The large room included a great double bed, two sinks, shower/bath, sofa and chairs, balcony, and lots of space for storage. The pool and sauna were simple but perfectly fine. The breakfast was fresh and diverse, if a little short on fresh fruit and vegetables. The reception provided many great tips and answered all our questions about the area. It's about 10 minutes by bus from the train station and downtown, and across the street from the Patscherkofelbahn lift to mountain paradise. Unless one of the more luxurious spa hotels were to reduce their prices substantially, we would not hesitate to return.

Fresh air away from the city and accessible
We were visiting Innsbruck and wanted to stay away from the hustle of the city. This Astoria Eagles hotel was just right for us at the base of ski lifts and the Austrian countryside. It is conveniently accessible with public transit.

Last Minute
We booked at the last mine and arrived late. The gentleman at the front desk was warm and helpful.Our room was clean and comfortable.The breakfast had scrambled eggs that I hadn't seen in a European breakfast in weeks.We really enjoyed this hotel.

THE ASTORIA EAGLE HOTEL & EASYJET
From the time we left London Gatwick to our hotel it was smiles all the way. Required assistants at the airport where a member of the team was waiting. Traveled by public transport from Innsbruck to our hotel 2.70 euro. A warm smile from Leo at Reception who informed us of our stay & hotel details.(Swimming pool - Sauna) We were then offered the Lunch Ski Soup which we found most welcome. Made a booking for Dinner which was fantastic value in this very clean and smart hotel. Excellent room with a balcony over looking the mountains and entrance to the Cable Car. Breakfast was more than you could wish for. Full range of cereal fresh bread,meat/cheeses/eggs & jams with fresh coffee or a good selection of teas.(Eggs & Bacon if required) All members of staff were most helpful so as to make our stay enjoyable. Thank you all so much for making our trip special!! Five Stars ***** all the way. If you find fault with this hotel you must live on another PLANET!! Book, Visit and ENJOY. We did in March 2015. Thank you Easyjet for your excellent cabin crew service both ways. Also to the Air Crew who gave us such safe flights. Sincerely, John & Carol.

Really OK for skiing in IGLS
The hotel is located in Igls, village near Innsbruck. good for base for the ones who comes there for skiing and for symposia/conferences in Congresszentrum ( hotel is ~5 min away by walk), huge rooms, breakfast buffet included in the price, sauna, swimming pool - all what you need, but not the fancy type hotel.

Hotel in the Alps for Skiing
Older hotel overlooking the cable car to the ski lifts. We were there for one day of sight seeing ... took the cable car to the mountain top (above the clouds) and spend half a day hiking and taking in the beauty. About a 16 Euro from the Innsbruck train station to the hotel. Bus is 2 Euros.

Will definitely stay here again
Such a lovely place with nice staff, nice view frm the balcony. Great location just across the J Bus that leads to nordkette and downtown innsbruck. And just across patcherkof ski cablecar. (Pls pardon my misspelling). The people are so kind and helpful, i will definitely recommend this for everyone.
