Fine for a cheap place to stay for a night.
It was a clean place to stay. The place is historic but is in need of repair. The bathroom floor was falling apart. Beds were extremely worn out but clean.

8/10 Very Good

The area around the hotel is a nice part of town, it didn't feel unsafe and I wasn't very worried about the car outside. It's close enough to the French Quarter to walk to everything, and it's also walking distance to the nearest streetcar station, so it's convenient for getting around. Parking was fine while we were there. It's free to park on the street outside and there was room to park across the street whenever we got back. The hotel has a nice private courtyard, and there is a gate with a code that you go through to access the courtyard, then keys to get into the individual rooms, so things felt secure. The staff were great. Overall, I would definitely stay at the hotel again due to the safety, staff, and location. Some criticism I had of the hotel are that it was pretty outdated and need a refresh. Everything worked fine, but a lot of fixtures seemed like they had been in use for awhile and had seen better days. It didn't feel dirty and I didn't see anything that made me seriously question the room's cleanliness. The sheets were showing their age, but definitely clean, and I didn't see any bugs. The only primary issue I had was that the door has built in blinds, and ours was missing a big piece at the bottom. Since the rooms are slightly elevated from the courtyard, I think it was possible to see into our room from the ground. We stacked our luggage in front of the door to block light and visibility, but it was my biggest issue with the room.

2/10 Poor

We feel like this was a fraudulent listing on hotels.com. The Hotel room in person did not look remotely like any of the pictures on the hotels.com website. The front desk clerk was very nice and helpful but the condition of the room was terrible. There were windows that were boarded up, floor boards missing and we watched two transactions go down coming and going from the courtyard of the hotel. The secure parking that was offered at an extra fee looked more like an overgrown junk yard. We did not feel safe for us or our car so we left and cancelled the last day of our trip.

4/10 Fair

Firstly, I’ve been staying at The Olde Town Inn for over 10 years whenever I needed a hotel and I’ve referred tons of people there in the past. It’s really went down hill and lost its charm. We rented yesterday in the middle of a move and immediately noticed the toilet had issues with sewage and asked for a plunger . When the plunger didn’t work we asked for help we never received. This morning we woke to raw sewage overflow . We just left. This hotel use to be magic , a quaint beautiful little charmer outside the quarter. The mattress was filthy. We had one towel and zero washcloths . No soap . It’s just not worth it anymore . So last night was our last night staying there . They have wonderful people who work there and the staff does the very best they can. But, it’s not on them. It’s on the owners and management. The place needs money and a ton of work and upgrades to be decent again. It’s really bad

Stay only as a last resort
Upon checking in, the staff is very friendly. They allowed me to check in early, once i got to my room, i noticed the tv was catacornered on the wall, the hdmi cord was missing, and looked like a can of soda had exploded all over the tv. I advised the staff about it, they moved me to another room with no hesitation. The 2nd room was a nice room upstairs... but i sweated literally all night. The maintenance guy added freon to the a/c but no change. Room was hot, slept on top of the covers with a cold wet rag on my face to cool off. I debated on just going sleep in my truck at the jobsite, honestly.. They also had 2 German roaches come out from under the tv stand coming straight at me, which i did kill, but i made sure my bags stayed closed the whole time i was there. I didnt think about getting pics, which i regret.. As i said the staff is great... the rooms need some love.
