Yes, the view is stunning, but that’s where the positives end. The room was outdated, badly designed, and you have zero control over the temperature. During a London heatwave, the “air con” was stuck at 26.5°C while it was 34°C outside. After two hours with no change, I discovered the room phone didn’t work, was hung up on multiple times using my own phone, and finally went to reception only to be told the system has no temperature control. Their “solution” was a dusty, decades-old fan. Staff were not only unhelpful but downright rude.
Our only relief was opening the tiny window and leaving the door open so everyone could see inside. The hotel is noisy, rooms aren’t soundproof, and cleaning staff ignore “Do Not Disturb” signs, slamming doors constantly.
We paid for unlimited drinks and coffee, yet nothing was replenished unless we went to ask. On top of that, loud works were happening in the hotel without any prior notice. At checkout, reception didn’t even bother to ask how our stay was.
Aside from the location and view, everything else is a disaster: poor facilities, rude staff, false advertising, and zero comfort. I will never return and wouldn’t recommend The Tower Hotel to my worst enemy.
