Sketchy area and unorganized

The hotel was a bit sketchy and not in the best area. The first two rooms they tried to put us in weren’t even ready yet. When we finally did get a room, the tv remotes didn’t work. The front desk lady was very nice and helped us out with some batteries for the remote. We were in the room maybe an hour and another guest was given the same room# key that we had and was able to unlock our door. He apologized profusely and went down to the front desk and got another room. I wouldn’t really recommend this hotel.

The motel was satisfactory for a quick one night visit before a cruise if you're not willing to pay the $350CAD for a standard hotel in the area. I feel it was still more expensive than it should have been, but I wasn't left with many options. It was pretty much the Super8 or the Motel 6 for under $300 on a Friday night.

I saw this was rated at 2-stars and thought, ok it's probably a 2-star in this location but elsewhere it might rate 3-stars when compared to other available hotels. No, it's a 2-star at best. There was mold in the shower. The t.v. remote was grungy, the bed sank in the middle. The door to the office is locked at all times and you have ring a bell to be let in so it gives the impression that it is in a sketchy neighbourhood. I wouldn't book with them again.
