This is a small family run hotel with a very friendly staff. I did get the all inclusive and there were minimal food choices, but the food was well prepared. There are only around 50 rooms so a large buffet was not possible. The all inclusive drink options are pretty good too, but not extensive, but other options are available on request. All the menus for both AI and ala carte are available via QR code so you can browse them at any time.
The beach was very nice and had security to keep away any unwanted beach vendors, or to help you by getting a parasol set up.
The hotel was built in the 80's and does need to be updated, but the realities of the hospitality industry now really does mean that may be a ways away. The Samsara is a sister hotel on the cliffs and there is a shuttle if you want to spend a day there snorkeling. Part of that hotel is brand new and the shuttle brings you to the Legends for the beach.
Even though the food at the buffet was good, there are so many good options nearby, that it probably is not necessary to have it, so a breakfast only plan would be good enough.
