Check-in was quick. I told the front desk attendant that I needed a pet-friendly room, as I wasn't sure my hotels.com request for that came through on their end. She said, "okay, we'll charge you the $100 for that when you check out" - mind you, hotels.com states that the pet fee is $75.
Valet parking was available for $49, which we opted not to do, and we found a spot to park right next to the hotel that was cheaper and we paid for it using the sidewalk meter. It cost $8 and some change until 10 PM, and then the staff member MANAGING THE VALET told my husband he was fine to park there overnight (it was free after 10 PM Saturday night and all day Sunday, and the parking meter website confirmed the same). The next morning, my husband goes out to grab something from the car, and the new valet guy on duty stops my husband and tells him we need to pay $49 for that spot and that we to pay the hotel staff AND that the meter shouldn't work (??). It felt like the staff was trying to pocket some extra money from us. The Sunday morning front desk staff looked at my dog and gave me a disgusted look, never acknowledged me or said anything, so I just let the room keys on the counter and walked out. Weird, very unpleasant vibes.
As for the room, we had a king bed with a double sofa bed. No pillow or sheets for the sofa bed. The king bed/pillows were very comfortable. The blackout curtain wouldn't pull shut, so we slept w/lots of light coming through. Hot water took a long time to get hot
