I booked a twin room with a view of the Spinnaker, for a friend who had never visited Southsea. We arrived after dark, and immediately opened the drapes to reveal a wonderful lit up Spinnaker. The booking in process (on the first floor) had been easy. All areas including the corridors are clean. The twin room was very clean, the bathroom was also clean. Breakfast was served 6.30 - 9.30am and is quite adequate. Parking is in the Gunwharf Quays shopping complex underground parking lot. The hotel staff will validate the parking ticket, so that parking is free. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel, and I hope to stay again very soon.

Great shopping trip. The hotel is so well located and the discount Quay card is great. Breakfast is nice and everything was very clean and comfortable. It is also great to get 24 hours of free parking.

Booked for a gig at the Guildhall and this hotel is a very easy 10 minute walk to the venue. Loads of places to eat. Took advantage of the 10% discount at some stores for holiday inn guests. Wasn’t sure about where to park, and missed the entrance to the hotel but just parked in the gunwharf main multi storey. Ticket validated at check in and it was made clear free for 24 hours, then £2 per day. I think this should be made clearer upon booking. Breakfast was good, had to wait for some items to be topped up but at least it was all quite fresh. Our only complaint really was the bed which wasn’t comfortable and dipped in the middle. We didn’t sleep well which was a shame as everything else worked really well for us.

Great place to stay..
We arrived a little early on Friday afternoon but the welcome was warm and accommodating and gave us useful information about Gunwharf Quays in general as well as the hotel. The hotel does a special rate for the main car park at gunwharf Quays at £2 a day which is excellent. They also have a great selection for breakfast, we were warned not to leave breakfast too late as it gets busy so we went down early and although busy it was easy to get what you wanted and the staff were very helpful. We stayed for two nights and our friends made a comment about their mattress which was very noisy and bouncy they receptionist was helpful and stayed they may be able to love room but in the end as it was only one more night they stayed in the same room, but the staff were again eager to ensure their stay was good. A great place to stay right on Gunwharf Quays very friendly and helpful staff will definitely stay there again.

Lovely staff
Lyndsey and Lee were very kind and friendly to us during our stay. It’s in a great location and the parking was free. It was quite expensive for what it is so probably wouldn’t stay again unless it was cheaper.
