Great family friendly hotel, not to busy and the heated pools were a huge bonus also only a 5min walk to the beach. The hotel gardens were also very nice and great views from the restaurant area. Definitely will return here.

Great customer service from every staff member we met. Pleasant room with seaview. Great dinner and breakfast. Interesting art styles. Good location. Balconies could do with an upgrade and hopefully that will be possible in time.

I have a problem with Expedia , do not book this hotel via Expedia or any other booking sites reason being the hotel can get away by saying oh you booked with Expedia so your requests didn't register. I had asked for a Double or queen bed and they instead gave me a twin bed. When I said I didn't book that and can they change it .They said they have no available rooms and I should really take this up with Expedia and may be they will give me a discount. I can't be bothered to be honest.. not sure why these sites even show these hotels when the requests are not received and hotels get away by saying if you book directly with us your requests might have registered.. Disappointed!

Chine a Hotel with charm, location and nostalgia,

This was our first visit to Bournemouth, we were there to assist our granddaughter in her move to university and with the Chine Hotel we picked a gem of an Hotel. Arriving ahead of our check in time, we received a friendly welcome from the young lady on duty at the front desk and she informed us of all the on-site parking facilities available, so a great start. With time to spare before getting our room key we were informed that we could use the beach gate to Boscombe Pier. Unfortunately the signage from the hotel to the gate is not great, so we did have to return to the front desk to ask directions again but this time the young lady asked one of her colleagues to show us the way. The hotel is unique, with its past history paying a nostalgic picture gallery tribute, throughout the hotel, to its many past thespian guests, some I pleased to say were even 'before my time' but still great to admire. Our room, which was on the first floor, was very clean and comfortable, which enabled us to get a good peaceful nights sleep. Due to the fact that our granddaughter's room was on the 3rd floor, we had the chance to use the the hotel's unique folding gate lift. Whilst we unfortunately did not get the opportunity to have an evening meal in the restaurant, we did have an exceptional breakfast and found the variety of food even better than some International 5* hotels that we have stayed in. Friendly staff, clean room, quiet location, lovely breakfast. Chine we will be back.

Needs more charm ..

Both my husband and myself found the hotel to be just perfect location walk to the beach ideal for children..especially in summer months. Breakfast was great ample choice. However we found our bedroom overlooking the garden a little sparce could do with additional decorative objects to give it more appeal..

Relaxing Chine Hotel at Boscombe

The Chine Hotel is a very pleasant and comfortable hotel , with a fantastic location just a few minutes walk down to the lovely sandy beach at Boscombe through the hotel gardens. The hotel was very clean and the staff very friendly and efficient. The room was very comfortable with lovely views of the sea from the balcony. The food was very good although we found that the evening menu was very limited. Our one observation would be that the food was only just warm and would have benefited from being hotter. We did not use the swimming pool or gym during our stay as we did not have time , but they looked very inviting. The car parking was adequate but in high season we would imagine that it would be difficult to secure a space. Would thoroughly recommend this hotel for families and couples.

A lovely break

Room was fine but needs a refresh. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with wonderful gardens - all in a great location.

Very nice position rooms very clean but no air con.there is a lift we found but other end of hotel .parking was bit differcult but got space close by .it has hotel pool in and out .garden is huge with lots of quite space.did not like the trees blocking the views this place could have. Breakfast was very good its self service but they staff served up your portions so little wait on that.

33rd wedding Anniversary Stay

Staff friendly and made to feel welcome. Our Bed was too soft and we found ourselves almost fall out as it sloped towards the outside. Although we had a room with a garden view the restaurant window seats looked directly into our room. We also had to shut our windows in the hot weather because of the noise from the restaurant. We booked a meal in the restaurant for our 33rd wedding anniversary and all was going well until a large booking arrived making a lot of noise. We finished our main course and left. We enjoyed the convenience of the pathway leading directly onto the beach. In fairness we never complained about any of these issues as we are not ones to complain. Despite all these issues we had a lovely time

Overall, stay was pleasant with following issues/experience 1/ Housekeeping going through personal belongings when out for the day, nothing missing but still unacceptable 2/ Undercooked Calamari by Hotel Restaurant, both my son and myself choked during the meal, hotel reluctant to deduct from the bill until challenged. 3/ Overpriced Peroni, 7.50 for a pint, Hotel Manager needs correcting this to everywhere else i.e. 4.50 a pint 4/ Jacuzzi was for over 16yrs only yet families observed with their young children effectively taking a bath :)

A resort requires a do up.

It’s a pleasant place with jacuzzi, sauna, gym, indoor and outdoor pools and a ‘Zen’ style of garden for relaxing. However, the hotel is outdated and requires a renovation. The bathroom sink was blocked during our stay.
