Food & staff are the stars of your holiday here.
You need to be fit to walk the hills to most rooms, or patient to wait for a shuttle, (if you have a room phone available, took us 3 days to final get one).
A new restaurant is being built, so some noise, but doing a good job of keeping that to a minimum. Also what looks like new apartments on the front. They could do with updating some of the original older rooms; ours had a leaking gutter outside the front door, so rain water regularly welcomed us on entry and a leak off the beam in the dressing room the shower room really needs upgrading. The roof terrace and bedroom though were fab.
Beach was lovely, with additional sand clearly added occasionally, seaweed cleared daily and brilliant water sports facilities. Beach service was excellent, especially once you get your beds booked and kept for your stay; tip here, the coconut leaf umbrella beds are more rainproof. In the sea, they have cleared a swim area of rocks and put in various float options; the other areas are rocky and a warning sign says sea urchins are possible. Bizarrely there are 4 concrete pillars that are not obvious you can swim into, that presumably use to be used for more hammocks. There are coral bits on the beach, but the snorkelling off the beach is not good; a few fish but makes you wonder if it’s possible to install a new manmade coral reef to improve the environmental damage caused.
Gym & tennis courts all v useable.
Fab stay.
