Amazing stay

We stayed at its sister hotel, Silberhorn, because Wengener Hof had to push back its opening date for the winter. We had great rooms with balcony facing Jungfrau. They have excellent facilities - we used their outdoor whirlpool, we ate daily at their dining room that served buffet breakfast and 4-course dinner, it is a minute walk to the Wengen rail station, it is next to Coop supermarket, and they have a very accommodating staff who helped us with everything. They even lent me a hiking stick. We bought our Jungfrau Corona pass from them and there was no question they did not answer. We will definitely choose to stay with them if we decide to go back to Wengen.

Charming hotel. Mixture of old world and contemporary in different areas. Very hospitable staff. Would be delighted to stay again. Very good breakfast.

Great location with amazing views of the Jungfrau peaks. Led by their Manager Giovanni who's an epitome of displaying hospitality. Lovely rose gardens at the entrance adding charm to the hotel. Breakfast buffet was wholesome and covers everything from what a fitness freak needs (not me) to fresh local salami, local cheeses, ham and fresh fruits, fruit preserves and fresh bread. Overall, THE place I would stay in Wengen as and when I visit the Jungfrau region again. Five stars for everything from hospitality, food and location...

Incredible views but very touristy area

Breathtaking views if you have a Jungfrau-view room on the upper floors. The rooms at the back look towards other hotels and Mannlichen which you don’t really want. The accommodation is a bit tired but has its charms, although the bathroom was relatively modern. The bed was extremely soft. The breakfast is a higher standard than most European continental hotels, but nothing mind blowing. The walk to the station isn’t a big deal, and they offer a free shuttle to transport you and your luggage if you really can’t walk 5 minutes. The location is actually very good as it’s away from the hustle and bustle of central Wengen. It’s a peaceful location. On a side note; This was our first time to Switzerland and we weren’t quite prepared for the cost of everything, so eating out and using public transport, while straightforward, is very expensive (compared to UK at least) so do be prepared for this. To get down to Lauterbrunnen costs about £12 for 2 people, and the cable cars about £80 return for 2. So it may suit most to get a swiss travel pass depending how much you plan to travel. We went in August primarily for hiking, hoping it would be quiet, challenging and rewarding. In reality the area is set up for skiing and tourism, so all paths up to the peaks are extremely accessible (usually paved) and there are cable-cars and trains up to the top of most mountains. You therefore get a lot of tourists rather than hikers. The views are absolutely spectacular however.

Nice hotel on top of the mountain with superb views. Decor needed modernization. Beds weren’t comfortable but when we complained it was promptly changed. Transportation to the train station was a bit of a hassle and the electrical cars they used weren’t so comfortable compared to other surrounding hotels.

5 night stay

Such a pleasant stay here at Wengener Hof hotel. The staff was accommodating, friendly & professional which I appreciated. Complimentary tea/coffee station in the room was a highlight, as well as the breakfasts. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the garden right outside the hotel entrance with the stunning views of mountain scenery in the background make for a very peaceful experience. The hotel location is just minutes away from central Wengen, but far enough that you can’t here the hustle and bustle of the town. I loved it here 😊

This was an absolutely beautiful hotel. The service was fantastic - everyone was so friendly. My room had a beautiful balcony with mountain views. I spent a lot of time enjoying that space whenever I was in my room. The breakfast was delicious with great variety. No complaints and I would love to stay here again! I enjoyed the spa area at the sister hotel, and though it was slightly inconvenient to have to walk 5-10 minutes to get there it was well worth it once I was there.
