We really enjoyed our stay. Staff were friendly and the hotel was really stunning with an amazing location and views of Porto. Rooms were comfortable and loved the shower with amazing water pressure. We really appreciated that it was possible to exit the hotel either at the bottom level or the main top level, allowing easy access to either the upper or lower level of the Luis Bridge without climbing a million stairs.
The buffet breakfast was nice with a good selection and also ability to order omelets, eggs, etc. We also ate dinner one night in the restaurant and thought that the choices and food preparation was excellent. Considering the price of dinner in many of the tourist focused restaurants in the historic center of Porto, we all agreed the meal was better than other we had for a comparable price.
Only negative for us was the hotel has a strong floral scent (which they sell) that is continuously sprayed throughout the public areas. As two in our group had asthma, it was a problem, especially in the lobby area. We really would have preferred no scent and it seems strange in this day and age of allergies that some hotels still feel the need to "scent" their public areas. As much as we love the hotel and location, this would be a reason for us to consider staying someplace else.
