Iconic Santorini, a Boutique Cave Hotel

The hotel is amazing, but expensive and not well suited for elderly people who have difficulty walking up and down stairs. There are a lot of stairs and some steps are high. This may be a common problem with staying on the caldera in Santorini. The views are gorgeous and the service was excellent.

It was an amazing stay not only because the location was out of this world, but also because of the staff that were always with a smile on their face ready to help in any way and make our stay as beautiful as possible. From Yianni, the manager, Maria our to go lady for anything we needed to the wonderful young men and ladies that not only carried our bags up and down those 100 steps each way, served us a delicious breakfast to our table, but also kept the hotel spotlessly clean. Finally, the food was outstanding and so there was never the need to seek food elsewhere. It was we were guests at our best friends home, warmth, hospitality, and kindness with a smile. My husband and I can't thank you enough for everything!

Amazing place, service, breakfast, and views. Staff was unbelievable and we could not be more pleased . We stay mostly in higher end luxury hotels and this place exceeded even our standards ! The location is ideal and views spectacular .

The views from the property of the Volcano were fantastic and the service at the hotel excellent. Nothing was too difficult and the staff were personable and always at hand to make the holiday memorable. The rooms were very clean, the beds ultra comfortable but a little small for comfort. There was no fridge in the room and the air-conditioning far too noisy which had to be switched off and then the room gets too hot for comfortable sleep in the Summer. So the views compensate for the lack of sleep and the excellent service for the small rooms. Overall I would say the high price not justified but money was not an issue for us so we had a positive experience.

Amazing property! Great staff especially Maria and Ilias! Highly recommend. We travel frequently and never repeat hotels but we will definitely be back to Iconic. 10/10

The hotel was incredible with an amazing view of the crater and middle volcano. The breakfast and pool were highlights of the stay.

The hotel has a stunning location perched on the cliff in Imeroviglia with wonderful views over the Caldera. Staff are highly professional - friendly and attentive but discreet. There is a wonderful attention to detail, from the decor and furnishings to the plants and lamps. Aesop products and delicious, varied freshly-produced food with local wines add to the stay. The chef's 'surprise us' breakfast served daily on our terrace set us up well for coastal hikes to Skaros rock and Oia (not for the faint-hearted but well worth the effort). We followed the hotel's excellent recommendation to have lunch at Vineyart in Oia. On our final day a wander down to the shops in Fira to observe the hordes off the cruise ships was followed by a quick retreat back to the infinity pool in our peaceful haven and lunch, before our private transfer back to the chaos that is Thira airport in August.

I've traveled to many destinations around the world, and this is the absolute best hotel experience I have ever had in my entire life. This place is absolutely amazing. My wife and I stayed here and even though the place and views are beautiful and indescribable, we were blown away by the staff. The quality of service and the friendliness of the entire staff were second to none. Dimitra, Yannis, Fanouria...everyone was amazing and welcoming. This is the best place to stay in Santorini, good location, amazing views, and great food. I hope to have the opportunity to be back one day.

They dote on you like nobody’s business. It’s quiet, private, spectacular. Everything is done well and there is an army of loyal staff to make it happen.
