Discretion is Advised
While visiting for French Quarter Fest, this was one of the cheaper hotels, so I quickly snapped at the opportunity! Luxury, convenience, and, reputable brand. What could go wrong?
Pros: Able to check in early, convenience to trolley and French Quarter, well supplied room, and, great view of Canal Street.
Cons: Towel had black ash debris, shower faucet doesn't close so tub gets filled as you shower, shower curtain doesn't close so the floor got very wet, bed is high (I'm 5'5"), bed was WAY too firm for my liking, and, the noise of the street DJ on Canal kept me up almost all night.
Yes, you read right. There was a street performing DJ whole blasted music literally ALL night and it was clear as day in my room. Not only could I hear the bass but even vocals clearly. When I asked a desk clerk, he was almost offended when I asked about a noise ordnance. I love music - probably more than the next, but when it's 1am and I'm in my bed trying to rest - it's not ok.
