BEWARE: Ongoing Construction, Poor Service, and Rude Staff (Stay: August 1–3)
I stayed at this hotel from August 1st to 3rd, and I want to strongly warn anyone planning a stay here—avoid it if you can.
The hotel is currently undergoing major renovations, particularly in the main hall. There was construction everywhere, with plastic sheets hanging all over, dust in the air and covering surfaces—including the small dining area. It was hard to breathe comfortably, let alone enjoy a meal.
The breakfast area had limited seating, and the food selection was very poor. Overall, the environment felt chaotic and neglected.
What made the experience even worse was the unprofessional behavior of the front desk staff. A receptionist who introduced himself as Mark (I’m not sure if that’s even his real name) was watching soccer on his phone while answering questions about check-in and check-out. When I politely repeated a question to clarify, he got visibly irritated, called me an idiot, and when I asked him to calm down, he threatened to call the police to have me removed from the hotel. I was absolutely stunned.
This was a deeply unpleasant experience, both in terms of the physical condition of the hotel and the staff’s behavior. I strongly advise not booking a stay at this hotel until renovations are complete and serious improvements are made to staff professionalism.
