Stratford Manor Hotel

A extended bank holiday getaway

Lovely hotel and very close to Stratford which is a must to visit.the hotel recommends a taxi service that will take you into Stratford for £8 plenty of places to eat and drink in town. Plus all the major shops on the retail estates. A few good pubs approximately 6 miles from the hotel. A dog friendly hotel with nice grounds to walk the a dog on a lead however could not see any dog waste bins . Breakfast was a buffet style just help yourself to all the breakfast choices, just a little bit disappointed in serving streaky bacon only for a four star hotel ( cost cutting I expect) A good size room but be warned that if you have mobility problems but don’t necessarily need a disability room some of the corridors have a small flight of about six stair’s so it’s worth asking on booking . The hotel doesn’t offer housekeeping services for the rooms to minimize access, unless specifically requested at reception prior. The sign of the times no doubt , everything you need can be requested at reception . It just means you have to keep asking for stuff if you stay for a few nights , keep a eye out for toilet paper running low !!!! ( requested 3 times we went out for the day and came back to no loo roll would have brought some while out . Staff did apologize) Staff are very friendly and helpful but appear to be so so busy. A few negative things but on the whole we did enjoy our stay and would recommend the hotel .

The room was good and the facilities. The restaurant serice was poor, 4 items from the Evening menu not available, the desert menu was asked for, but was not provided! During breakfast, no sausages or bacon immediately available, had to wait 10-15 minutes. This is not acceptable when you know the numbers planning to attend breakfast!

The hotel was very nice and clean but had no hot water at night or first thing in the morning so had to have a cold shower not good when the temperature was very cold outside

Nice place

Nice accommodation. Clean tidy room. Breakfast was a disappointment. Self service, bacon like card board, fried eggs were rock hard, beans been sat there a long time, skin on top of them. Paid £7-50 the night before, on the day should be £15. Glad I didn’t pay that. Would of been very dear for a not very good breakfast.

Staff very friendly. Good standard hotel . If i had anything to question it would be swimming pool could do with being a bit warmer. Didn't stop us having any fun .

Weekend break

The room was very good had everything we needed the only thing missing were tea spoons for our tea (minor problem) breakfast was well worth having, reception even booked a taxi for us.Would definitely use this hotel again.
