Not really a beach property but good service
The hotel has excellent service. All staff were professional, courteous, and committed to giving guests a great experience. The propeety itself is need of work. You do not really have access to the beach. Its beyond a chain link fence with security. It is a public beach with hawkers and the like and not well kept. If you're hoping for a beach experience, this is not it. The pool is pleasant though. I had a bug incident, which staff came and handled quickly by spraying the room with me in it. Had a headache from the insecticides but powered through it. Food options on property are good. Convenient location.

The property is located on beachfront. The area is beautiful and captures the authentic Ghanaian culture. The staff are very courteous and professional. The only issue we had was the hot water heater didnt work properly. Additionally, staff did not inform us you need to turns on switches for the refrigerator and the hot water in the room. Great location and good people.

Not restful or relaxing
The hotel is very noisy. They organise large outdoor evening events which guests are not notified about in advance of their stay, and which go on until 3 or 4 in the morning so it's impossible to get any sleep. Service is also very poor. I waited 50 minutes for my (very simple) order at the Ghanaian Village one night. Location is not terribly convenient either, and while it's advertised as a beach hotel, there are no hotel facilities on the beach.

Brown Water in the tub & poor service.
Don’t stay here!!! The lights flickered. My son cut his finger very seriously on a tile in the kid pool. Brown water poured from the tub. We had to change rooms, but it was not easy. The service was poor.

La Palm Beach hotel is a short ride from the Accra airport. The hotel also provides a free shuttle to and from the airport. What makes the hotel exceptional is that it is ocean front. The grounds and pool are beautiful. The hotel rooms are spacious. The hotel staff are very friendly and accommodating of all requests. There are two restaurants on site which provide great meals. The hotel has lots of amenities--casino, ATM, exchange bureau, gift shop, hair salon, and others. I would highly recommend this hotel to others. I will definitely plan to come back to La Plam Beach Hotel when I return to Ghana.
