Coyaba Beach Resort

The property seemed quite dated but in excellent condition. The staff were very attentive and friendly. Service was excellent (even better than Sandals). The resort is right on the biggest beach on the island. Food quality was good but average and repetitive.

I liked that the SCUBA facility was right on site. It is centrally locates and is close to the mall and several restaurants. I didn’t like that dinner didn’t start until 7 pm and that pants and button down shirt were required. We were traveling with kids.

The property is not large, but very nice and clean. It looks like a garden with a lot of different plants and flowers. Personnel is very friendly and always willing to help. The resort has two restaurants and three bars. One restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reservations and formal clothing are required for dinner. Second restaurant open for lunch and dinner without any reservations and formal clothing. Food choices are not plenty. Menu is very limited. Most of the food is spicy. Grenada is also known as Spice Island. We were celebrating my wife's birthday. I send email to the resort at the time of reservation. My wife was very surprised finding very personalized and tasty cake in the room. We brought the cake to the restaurant and shared it with other guests. Coyaba resort is located in the middle of the beautiful sandy Grand Anse Beach. The water is crystal clear and warm. We enjoyed the beach very much. One negative was very loud noise on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from the nearby area, where local residents spend their weekends. The rooms are well insulated against the noise, but outside that constant boom-boom gets to you.

Room view was faxed the pool but since I’m the first floor was unable to see the pool at all.

Liked that the hotel was on the beach.

The location on Grand Anse beach is superb, the gardens have wonderful flowers and lots of space. The atmosphere is friendly - lovely staff and many guests who return year after year so guests know one another. The rooms are good and the public rooms, eating in open dining spaces are magical.

We liked the fact it was right near the beautiful beach and had good security. The food and the rules of the resort were terrible. There are 2 restaurants both serving the same food. One you have to dress up for men (wear long pants and closed shoes and shirt with sleeves) the other casual. The food was the same terrible quality in both. Breakfast- had no oatmeal or selection of fresh tropical fruits. I had to special request oatmeal - but, of course not one kind of berry wa available. Island is very lush and fruits grow in abundance. Yogurt looked like soup, no selection just from one dish. Frozen french fries from a bag (not freshly made) The fish the same just with different sauces, no snapper, grouper,baracuda - shrimp and lobster extra charge. Everything was overcooked with no good taste. The presentation and the quality were the poorest I have seen for paying $500 per nite in an all inclusive. xtra chg. for room service. No mint for mojitos (they were out). Lots of land to grow their own mint. One night around 9 pm I asked for some ice cream, the only way they would serve it to me was if I took it back to my room. Or I had to eat it in the formal restaurant - but, I couldn't because I was dressed casually. I asked if I could have it in the bar area where guests were listening to music - the response was no "only finger foods in the bar area and drinks" no ice cream in a bowl. This is the stupidity that was given.

I love this hotel in terms of location, food wise cleanliness and most of all the people, been here before and I will always return, thank you Coyaba staff especially the cleaners greatly appreciated 😃😃😃 oh the rum punch is really good
