Great place to stay for theatre

We visited New York for theatre and had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is clean and comfortable, and the staff is very accommodating. The hotel is in a great location, just off Broadway a few blocks north of Times Square. We could easily walk to our show.

When a hotel feels like home...

From the moment we stepped in the hotel we were welcomed warmly. Instead of holding our bags while we ventured the city before check in, they let us check in early at no extra cost. There was water readily available, fruit during the day and coffee and tea in the morning. Staff offered directions and suggestions and called a taxi to go back to the airport.

Staff was very helpful in changing our room. The 1st one was on the 2nd floor right above the street so it was noisy all night long and construction going on all day next door. Great location. Had to wait to check in because the only person behind the counter was on the phone. But eventually someone else came along to check me in. Moderately friendly but nothing special. Room seemed a little worn, but nothing terrible. Small, but that's to be expected in Manhattan. Air conditioning worked well. Plenty of TV stations.

The best NYC Hotel I have ever stayed at. Excellent location, room and bathroom were spacious and clean compared with other NYC Hotels. And the Staff- kind, friendly, professional from the moment you walked into the hotel. It's obvious, the Ameritania Staff works as a TEAM. Will definitely stay there again.

Loved the coffee service in the lobby each morning. Room was comfortable and clean. Beds are on the softer side if you prefer that. Walkable to Broadway shows, Times Square, MoMA, Central Park, many restaurants and so much more. We will stay here again.
