The pool area was disappointing for a Vegas Hotel/Casino. The "over 21" pool was closed. There were almost no deck chairs available and shade was available only if you wanted to pay from over $100 to $200 for a small, crowded cabana. There was no landscaping or creative charm. The price of drinks was exorbitant, prohibitive and was, frankly, disgusting considering a resort fee was charged at booking. Basically, the resort fee, which added $250 to the room rate, got me towels. The rooms, themselves are very basic and looking worn out. The friends I was traveling with had to change rooms because the elevator made so much noise.
On a more positive note, the Cafe Hollywood on the casino level was an excellent place to eat. We had 2 breakfasts and one dinner there and each meal was very well prepared and delicious. Another positive is the location of this hotel. Being in the middle of the strip, it is within walking distance of many attractions to both the north and south.
