Their failure to clean our room 3 out of 4 days was ridiculous!
Upon arrival Tuesday, the front desk staff was wonderful and helpful. The location is great! We had a nice corner room with a lovely view of Salem. When we open the fridge to put away our drinks first thing after checking in, it had several half-empty sodas and water bottles inside. While annoying, not a deal breaker or reason to leave.
The room was big, the bed was comfortable and the room is well lit.
The bathroom was okay, but upon closer examination, there was long dark hair in the corner of the shower and in the sink.
When we returned to the hotel Wednesday late afternoon, no one had been in the room. Bed was unmade, towels still on the floor, garbage not collected. We did NOT leave anything on the bed nor did we hang up the do not disturb sign. We went to the front desk to ask if room cleaning was daily or should we plan to hang and reuse towels, they said it was daily, apologized and sent up a clean set of towels to the room.
Thursday we stopped by the room at 2:30 to grab something and noticed the room was again not serviced. We did not see any housekeeping carts in the hall. I stopped by the front desk on the way out, mentioned the issues from Wednesday and asked if they could ensure the room was cleaned. It wasn’t. Nor on Friday. Wet towels and garbage piled up. Too expensive for the crappy service. Location is great, breakfast is good. Housekeeping is horrible. Manager never responded.
