I recently stayed and wanted to formally express my concerns regarding the accommodations and overall experience. I understand that the hotel is currently undergoing renovations; however, the room initially assigned to us was in extremely poor condition. It was located on the first floor of the unrenovated building and was not only visibly rundown—with missing baseboards and heavily soiled carpeting—but also had an overwhelming odor that made it uninhabitable.
Upon bringing these concerns to the front desk, I requested to be moved to a renovated room, but I was informed that none were available at that time. Instead, we were relocated to a room on the third floor of the same building. While it was somewhat cleaner, it was still incomplete, as it was also missing baseboards. More importantly, I had originally booked a two-bedroom suite, but the new room was significantly smaller, requiring my sister to sleep on the couch.
Despite multiple follow-ups, we were given inconsistent information about the possibility of being moved to a more suitable room and, ultimately, were never provided with the accommodations we had originally reserved. Additionally, no effort was made to offer any form of compensation, whether through a room rate adjustment or other accommodation for the significant inconvenience.
I am disappointed in the handling of this situation and hope that the hotel will take steps to improve both the condition of its rooms and the level of service provided to guests.
