UPGRADES NEEDED

Check in went quickly. Room was a bit musty others in our party complained about room smelling of urine/cigarettes. Pool looked like it needed a good scrubbing. Sitting outside several guests were approached multiple times by a vagrant. No working ice machines and elevator broke around 530 am day of check-out so some guests required multiple trips to exit. Not impressed especially for the cost per night. Sadly more elite parking spots than handicap. Especially given how many we had in our party.

It’s what you’d expect for a holiday inn. It’s a sports tournament area hotel. It was booked with families so it gets kinda crazy. Room was big and clean. Room stayed nice and cool. Shower was good. Soaps in shower and bathroom good. Breakfast was good. Coffee machines best part. The surrounding area isn’t anything special but not unsafe. It’s not a 5 star but you don’t expect that with holiday inn express. It gets the job done for a weekend stay for a tournament.

The Good Large room. Nice sofa bed. Decent breakfast. The not as good The room smelled like it used to be a smoking room. The breakfast items were being eaten before they could be replaced. Breakfast attendant needed assistance.

My daughter and I stayed a night, only to find that every white towel and wash cloth were stained. Bleach, folks. Bleach. The bathroom counter and sink had at least two other people's hair on them. I was afraid to look in much more detail. It doesnt look like a very busy hotel, but not much choice if you're staying in Three Rivers Michigan

Overall it is a good property. The room had a faint smoke smell and there were clothes left in the dresser (we didn't use it but always double check them). Bathroom had Dove products which was nice. The pool was ice cold. Breakfast was really tasty. Only complaint we had was the marijuana smells in the hallways when it is supposed to be a nonsmoking hotel.

The hotel was nice and the bed was very comfortable. The pool was very nice. However, the refrigerator in our room did not work, and when informed the hotel did not change it out during our stay. In addition, the floor tiles in the bathroom were loose and needed to be resealed. In addition we did not ask for stay over service on the first night, but let them know that we did want to stay over service for our third night and did not receive service.

Pool broken terrible service

We stayed for 3 nights. The pool room has a sign on it that says Closed "Until further notice" a sure sign they arent even trying. The shower did not drain properly so any shower taken was with a pool of water in the tub. The ethernet port in our room didnt work. The towels were stained. In the 3 days we stayed there the last morning was the only time there was someone at the front desk when we walked in. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and will never stay here again.

I would not return

TV broken. The very nice evening person tried to reboot but it wouldn't work. Moved to another room. Carpets in both rooms were filthy with stains. Shower in new room had a light spray with a waterfall leaking out. There was one rickety rusty luggage rack that we had to wait on due to others using it. The AC fan started making noise and woke me up in the night. I turned it off.

I booked here as its close to my work. It was my first time there. Upon entering, the lobby area (late on a Saturday evening) was quite dirty from construction being performed. Checking in was effortlessly done! Desk clerk was very cordial. I began noticing the condition of this hotel upon entering the hallway/elevator. Its far from being new, shiny as i might expect a HI Express to be. Ive stayed many times in this brand before. The room was very poor condition. Such so, i immediately checked for bed bugs and cleanliness, specifically sheets and the bathroom. I found no evidence of bugs. But, areas of the floor between the beds and under the headboard were not vacuumed in some time (debris was clearly seen.) The bathroom was pretty much clean, though below and around the toilet had smudges of some substance, not clean. Inspecting the sheets, one bed had a fitted sheet with major wear visible. I choose not to sleep in that bed. The desk, closet, headboards, etc, were quite old and worn on edges and corners. Very dated looking furniture. I tossed around the idea of leaving and demanding a refund, but because it was late; i was tired after driving a long time in ice and snow... i choose to stay. I hope its evident ive been employed in hotel/resort maintenance for many years in the past. This hotel needs some serious work.
