We stayed at La Quinta by Wyndham Orlando Airport North and honestly, it was not a good experience. The property feels very dated – the elevator and rooms are clearly overdue for upgrades. To make matters worse, we found a cockroach in our room. When housekeeping came to “help,” it was obvious this wasn’t a surprise to them; the cleaner had bug spray ready and acted like it was just another day at work.
The manager, Paula, was extremely rude and unhelpful. We asked for a late checkout, and instead of offering even a small courtesy, she demanded $30 extra and insisted we pay immediately before 11am – while we were still in our pajamas. Not exactly the customer service you expect when traveling.
Overall, between the pests, outdated rooms, and poor management attitude, I would NOT recommend staying here. There are plenty of better options near the airport where you’ll get more respect and a cleaner room.P
