Family Ski Weekend

This hotel is situated perfectly in the middle of everything you need in Wengen. The train stop and ski lift are 3 a min walk. Literally, everything you need is right there. I absolutely loved how family-friendly this hotel was. They did so many little extra things in the room and in the hotel to help make kids welcome, entertained and included in activities. We booked this trip during the COVID lockdown in Switzerland so the hotel had to make accommodations accordingly. We had to reserve times for dinner or pool use, which of course isn't ideal but, it wasn't the hotel's fault. They were very reasonable with how the reservations worked and overall it didn't affect our weekend. There was only a few things that I felt could have been better. The food served at dinner wasn't great. This could be because of COVID restrictions but, we were not pleased with the dinner and decided to go to the lounge bar for dinner the 2nd night. This area was open all day and night and only had about 3 or 4 food options. However, this food as also not great. BUt, they did have a kids play area attached which was great for entertaining my daughter while we ate. As well, we wanted to try their dinner ski gondolas outside where they served different fondues but, those were all booked and no one told us we could reserve these ahead of time. That was definitely frustrating. The room was perfect, great view, great space, great feel. We would go back to this hotel for sure.

location : excellent. Food: breakfast buffet ok, dinner --> most items overcooked, selection does not vary a lot. and bland tasting.. so this was a big let down... rooms: very small - a bit dated.

Service was excellent. Oliver and his staff very friendly and always helpful. And great location. My 5 yr old enjoyed Pkayroom for kids in lounge / bar area next to fireplace. Thumbs up for entire experience.

A quality hotel located in a hikers paradise.

Spacious well lighted comfortable room with a wonderful view. The room is kept immaculately clean. Front desk staff is very helpful and a cheerful group. Fine and bountiful breakfast served in a pleasant dining room. Located in the midst of a hikers paradise.

I wish I stayed longer

It was a great 2 nights stay. Hotel has a very good wellness area with pool, spa, sauna, etc. The breakfast was great with a lot of fruits/berries and a wide selection of food. The pick-up at the train station was very convenient and prompt, fast check-in and good advice by the staff on walking trails and other activities. Location is good as you walk everywhere in Zermatt or could catch a bus, if needed. I definitely would like to stay again.

it was all truly excellent - clean &well - appointed, such friendly helpful staff, fabulous breakfast buffet, great location. if I ever go back, it wld definitely be where I wld stay.
