There only so much a new layer of paint can do. Tucked between all the bigger hotels is this motel on its last leg. The parking spots are so tiny. Plan to take extra anxiety medications for this one. The lady at check in was pleasant, enough. The curb appeal is less than appealing. The pool is full of sand and in the shade of all the giant buildings surrounding. The stairwells and halways are carpeted, and never seem to get dry or see the light of day. Wet and dingy. The room needed a complete soak in Lysol. The carpet needs to be ripped up. Its dark, the isnt enough lighting. But I'd be terrified to see this place in good lighting. The furniture needs updating, the TV is not smart, the toilet seat was broken and every surface needed wiping down. We did not use the shower, no thank you. The king size bed itself was comfortable, enough. But the pillows for worst than what you would expect from a hospital room.
I wouodn't even say, "you get what you pay for." Because we paid $400 for this, one night. And people will keep paying it, bc its available, on the boadwalk and prime location. Nothing will ever get fixed, because why would you, when the rooms are all booked up? This place will become condemned and demolished, a shiney new sonething in its place, soon enough.
