No coffee machine, no microwave, no ~smoking~ rooms, room did not get cleaned the last day, it was hard to get on the bed as it was so high, distances within the hotel were immense, only one chair in a room for possibly 4 people.

The Truth
The stay was great, the staff was wonderful always willing to help. Housekeeping was phenomenal and the bell hop was memorable. I had a view of the strip and it was worth it. The opportunities are needing more places to eat other than Dick's and pop up convenient stations that sale the necessities and other items. The hotel is a little dated with needing maybe new wall paper and fix the nicks of suitcases and other things that happen in Vegas.... there are no Refrigerators or microwaves in the room and i am not sure if it can be requested. But if you are looking for a reasonably, clean, family place this is it. It is pet friendly in which I am not a fan of but can be a plus for pet lovers.

The main concern/complaint is having to walk through a smoke filled casino to get to the restaurants in the hotel. I’m not a smoker nor gambler so I won’t be back. Thought we could eat out and shop to enjoy the day we laid over in Vegas but knowing casinos are not smoke free it’s not possible

Dated but just fine
Excalibur is kind of dated but it's in a good location and it's cheap! There is carpet ripping on the stairs in the main lobby and the rooms are dated but the mattress was amazing! There are holes in the wall from old TV mounts, the bathroom tile has been sprayed over to make it look newer and the curtains were pretty janky. I was just there to crash for the night after a long day of business and it was perfectly fine for that. But compared to the other hotels, it's on the bottom end of the scale for Vegas. Good place for people on a budget with kids though... there's an arcade in the basement that is fun.
