Pod 51 is clean. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Great hotel with small efficient room. Awesome location, close to subway, walking distance to the theater district.

The hotel is ok. It is well located. But I do not recommend it for family.

Stayed in a bunk-bed room with shared bathrooms. This was perfect for us. No problems with getting a bathroom in the morning or in the evening. They were always clean. Room was small but had all we needed, and since you are not coming to NYC to spend time in a hotel room the size did not matter. Location were perfect - Right in the middle of midtown Manhattan within walking distance of several big landmarks. Subway stations located nearby with trains to Chinatown, Brooklyn Bridge or uptown to Central Park. Staff were not too friendly or 'talkative' but in the end this didn't affect our trip that much. Would recommend - Especially for friends traveling together on a budget!

We spent a week at the Pod 51 for a family wedding and then some sightseeing. Perfectly located to explore the city. The rooms are clean and compact but well thought out. Downstairs bar/communal area you can hang out in/have some food/glass of wine and a rooftop - a little cold at this time of year. We did one of the (free) walking tours around Lower East Side and Chinatown- highly recommend. Bring earplugs - not much the hotel can do but the streets are loud added to by construction.
