Our first room was beautiful in size and view but the floor in the bedroom that faces the full wall of windows looking into the ocean was damp and the entire room had a really bad in your face smell. We arrived after midnight so we thought we could handle a night. The smell was so bad we ended up requesting a new room early the next morning. Getting the new room took forever. I was told the person checked out prior to 11 and they were cleaning the room. It wasn’t ready until 1:30pm and in between our key stopped working just after we took our dog for a walk.
The new room also had a smell, but not as powerful and different. Unfortunately anything cotton retained the terrible smell from the old room. That includes clothes in bags that weren’t opened. Next on my agenda was doing laundry on site.
I ended up buying Febreeze and plug in air fresheners to make the new room stay-able.
Other issues: there was constantly house keeping on the floor all day long. One of the elevators would stop going to the floor you requested mid ride and the other two required you to press the button for both or only one would come.
Positives: the space in the suites was great. The beds, couches, etc were very nice. The view is great. The staff was nice.
