Great opportunity for old-Hollywood experience in a high-tourist area. You can pretty much walk to everything from the hotel. Hotel bars and restaurants are excellent - they're not cheap, but you're paying for the experience and the location. Perfect for an introduction to Hollywood!

Everyone that worked there was rude, From the front desk girl to the security. The nicest people were the bell boys.

The staff was amazingly helpful and always ready to accommodate our needs. Room service and quality of food served was excellent! Pool and bar are stunning. Hard to believe you are in the middle of LA!

I’m glad we were there one more time. Hotel has been renovated since our last stay, years ago. It is historic (first Oscar’s awarded there) so the rooms and bathrooms are small. We got a complimentary upgrade to a studio, luckily. It’s a noisy area and we could hear loud music from somewhere until very late and that was on the backside, not on Hollywood Blvd. which must be worse. Fun to think of the old celebrities that must have inhabited it. But now the glamour is gone. Many street people among the hordes of tourists. Miss the old atmosphere. The hotel is located well if this area is on your bucket list. A bit pricey but you’re paying for the convenience. Too bad the area became so seedy. You’d never imagine that when watching the stars line the red carpet at the Dolby Theater for today’s Academy Awards.

Even given an upgrade upon arrival. Some confusion when we decided to stay an extra night but staff quickly resolved issue. Very happy with experience! Great location and wonderful amenities!
