Esme's was a wonderful place to spend a few days in Winchester, a short walk from the centre of town, the historic sights and beautiful surrounds. The bonus is Esme who was warm and welcoming and really made the stay special. Highly recommended.

The property is close to the cathedral being a block from High Street yet it is still quiet. The owner loves Winchester so knows the best places to eat and drink. Its very private and turned out to be a great find for us.

Esme gave us a warm welcome and had lots of advice and recommendations of where to eat and what to do. We came to celebrate our wedding anniversary and to see the Christmas market. Winchester is a beautiful and historic city, with the cosy village atmosphere. We had such a lovely stay and will definitely return to Esme's as it was so warm and welcoming. Esme goes the extra mile with treats like chocolate, biscuits and even port! The bed was really comfortable, walk in shower was grest and the location couldn't be more convenient for the centre. This is a single room for one or two people, in the front ground floor of a house. It is comfortable, safe, clean, and fulfilled all our needs. The location is within walking distance of the train/bus station and the city center. The host is super-friendly and helpful. We definitely recommend it!

Beautiful and Cosy
Esme welcomed me warmly upon my arrival, gave me good advice about restaurants and places to visit. Conveniently located, quiet, spacious and beautifully decorated, my room at Esme's was perfect for my stay in Winchester.

We had a fantastic 3 night stay. Esme is such a lovely, friendly lady, we were made to feel so welcome. The bed was extremely comfortable. All the lovely little extras in the room were fantastic, from milk, water and chocolate in the fridge, also sweets, biscuits and port. Lots of teas, coffee and hot chocolate etc. Esme has put a great deal of thought into making your stay relaxed and comfortable. Toiletries were also included. The house is in such a convenient location and only a 5 minute walk into the city centre, we absolutely loved Winchester. Would thoroughly recommended a stay at Esme’s. Kerry & Kirk

Perfect
Excellent accommodation in great location. Everything was fantastic, comfy bed, plump pillows, great shower, spotlessly clean plus so many thoughtful touches. Esme made us feel incredibly welcome and even left us an Anniversary card. Perfect!

Esme
Great location for town centre. Accommodation 5 star with lots of goodies and local information supplied. The room is accessed by your own door to the street so very private. Had a lovely stay.

So glad we found this gem!!!
We're so glad we chose to stay at Esme's! We received a text in advance, as promised, giving details on parking & access. The room was gorgeous, spotlessly clean with a wonderful bathroom - great shower! Its the other little touches that Esme had thought of which makes it special e.g. toiletries, biscuits, good coffee machine & tea-making facilities. Location was perfect, a few minutes from the Centre. (There's a fab tearoom/cafe at the other end of Parchment St doing not just tea,cakes but breakfasts too). There are absolutely negatives as far as our visit was concerned. It was lovely to meet Esme and her gorgeous dogs. We fully recommend & will definitely be returning. Thank you Esme!

Disappointed non visit
You may well ask about stay; bearing in mind we have a health crisis going on. For that reason we obviously could not travel. However the times I spoke with Esme showed what a lovely and caring person she was. We do hope we get to visit in the future

Central and Bijou
Esme place is perfectly located in the heart of Winchester in a street full of character. The accommodation is stylish, very comfortable and spotlessly clean with plenty of thoughtful touches. Esme was friendly and super-helpful. We had breakfast just down the street in one of the many independent cafes ( there would be only space for a breakfast tray in bed in the room) We wouldn’t hesitate to stay again and thoroughly recommend it.

Centrally Located Nice Accommodation with Parking
Lovely set up with a large bed and bathroom with shower in downtown Winchester just off the high street. It's within 5 min walking distance to most sites, although there is no breakfast option available but the area has a great selections of restaurants. The room is nicely decorated with relaxing aqua blue color and quality beddings, it is sparkling clean as well. There is coffee pod machine with even decaf option, there is first aid kit and some other emergency toiletry items. We arrived with car, Esme kindly provided a local parking permit which allow us to park on the local street for free. Will definitely recommend Esme's place.
