Wonderful stay and great location!
A great stay. The staff were all very nice and helpful. Hotel was very clean and bed was comfortable. It is a firm mattress and fairly firm pillow but very comfortable to sleep in. Location is about 10 minutes from the temple and Asakusa station which is actually good since it was quiet and peaceful. It’s across the street from Sumida park which as great views of Tokyo Skytree and Skytree itself is about 15 minute walk. The breakfast has both western and japanese style and was delicious!

Asakusa on the whole was disappointing due to the mass commercialism. Apart from the temple there isn’t much apart from mainly tacky shops and mediocre/poor restaurants. Bars on hoppy street aren’t great and all require cover charges. Would give it a miss on your itinerary.

8/10 Very Good

We didn’t have the time to go to other cities on this trip to Tokyo so we were happy to find a Ryokan with a private onsen in Tokyo. Very close walk to Sensoji temple area. Conditions overall were pretty good, however do expect a less-than-traditional ryokan experience here. There was no tea ceremony, the Japanese breakfast was sub par as far as ryokans go, and the overall service was a bit unfriendly from the manager lady.

Be aware that the beds and pillows are very hard. Slept poorly as a result. I knew that’s the type of bed I’d signed up for but it wasn’t great for me is all. Shower room had a moldy smell everyday.

We had corner suite with sky tree view, fantastic view. Close to metro (6-7 mins) and restaurants and senso-ji. Sweet and friendly staff who helped arrange luggage transfer. Would recommend as a base for Tokyo. Just note - that it a good 30 minutes to get over to Shibuya and that side of town but metro is really easy to use especially if you get an IC card which we brought from Asakusa station.

Hidden Gem in Tokyo
I have been to Japan several times and the Asakusa area where this hotel is located is my favorite. The location is perfect, the service excellent and the rooms are clean. I would definitely stay in that hotel again if the opportunity presented itself.
