BEST roadside last minute hotel for the night ever
I don't generally have much to say about any of the chain motels and hotels. They are what they are. They serve a purpose as a respite between places. If they are clean and feel safe, I'm happy. However, this particular hotel exceeded any and all expectation on Every. Single. Level. The staff was genuine, warm, engaged, friendly, and when out of their way to be so. They not only have an indoor pool, jacuzzi, gym, and dry sauna...they are all open 24 HOURS A DAY to anyone over 18! It's about time! That has always been one of my biggest gripes about hotels - especially those that primarily used as rest stops on road trips....closing the pool/spa etc. at 8 or even 10 pm is SO NOT being in tune with your customer's needs.
The beds were comfortable, with real quilts and great pillows. Breakfast was nothing more than any other hotel...except the employee "working" it was so kind and engaged. I wish I'd asked their name - but it was Monday morning May 2nd when I was having breakfast. Likewise, the night front desk person was also super friendly. She saw my husband and daughter and I going to the pool, and went out of her way to offer larger towels than what is supplied by default at the pool.
