Having been a while since i stayed at The Nugget, I chose to stay there while taking care of family stuff.
When I arrived the young lady that checked me in was not friendly at all, gave me room keys and said enjoy your stay. I had to ask which way to elevators. The room was clean but stuffy, even though i requested no adjoining room, I still had one. Fine.
After having a 12 hour day of driving I decided to order room service so I didn't need to go out. No info book in room but tv had guest info that said "for room service scan QR code on desk in room". There was no QR code anywhere in room. Called front desk, put on hold for 10 minutes, hung up & called back, and was told "just go to website and choose mobile ordering". Here's a suggestion, put the QR code in the "hotel info" on the tv.
The room rate was great at $42/night but then there's a $200 Resort fee which I think is a crock. Any true Resort that I have been to includes maid service automatically. Not The Nugget, here you must request it. It would have been helpful to know this when I checked in, but I wasn't provided that info. The only thing I needed was trash to be taken out.
Here's another suggestion, valet parking should be included when staying at hotel.
Next year I'll go back to staying at Western Village.
