Always a great experience. This family-run hotel blends traditional charm with modern comfort and is centrally located in the lovely suburb of Trudering. The beds are comfortable, and both the rooms and property are impeccably maintained. The breakfast buffet is a dream — and if you’re lucky, you’ll catch a glimpse of Herr Obermaier Sr., the founder, during breakfast. The hotel also features a cozy bar and an on-site traditional beer garden. Its convenient location provides easy access to downtown Munich via the S-Bahn. We come every year and will continue this tradition. Highly recommend this property.

Quaint yet very modern and cozy. Our room was newly renovated, nicely done and large. The breakfast buffet was amazing in its variety. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The neighbourhood had a small town feel with nice shops and the U-Bahn and S-Bahn were nearby. Great location, great hotel.

The room was excellent for our family of 5. Great atmosphere and an authentic Biergarten just next to the hotel. Trudinger Bahnhof is just a 5 min ride from the hotel and it was easy to reach München city within 30 min - warmest recommendations!

We stayed with our adult children at the Hotel Obermaier during Octoberfest. It was all that we had hoped for. It is a traditional hotel with a good restaurant attached. It is convenient by Metro to downtown Munich. It is much more reasonably priced than closer-in hotels. Our room and bathroom were comfortable. The breakfast was unbelievably generous and delicious. We will definitely stay at the Hotel Obermaier if we are fortunate enough to return to Munich, particularly during Octoberfest.

This place is very cute. Everything is nice, except the coffee in breakfast could be better. Unfortunately, Hotels.com has no question specific for coffee, which is so important.

The hotel itself is great. Perfect location, beautiful huge rooms. Kid friendly. Plenty of shopping and dining in walking distance. Eco friendly with excellent breakfast. Absolutely loved it. Only complaint - not sure how this is participating in VIP membership, because you receive absolutely nothing. Was promised a bottle of wine, and I didn’t even expect an upgrade but got nothing. Next time I wouldn’t book based on Expedia VIP. Also, tons of dust under the bed along with toys and things from previous guests. There are 2 staff members at the front desk but only one is handling customers which means you will wait. Overall I would recommend based on the beautiful rooms, and location.

Wij hadden een upgrade gedaan van kamer. Echter kwamen in een kamer pal aan de straat met veel verkeer, het bed kraakt enorm wat de nachtrust verstoorde en de douche was super klein. Al met kwa kamer een tegenvaller. Gelukkig wel een goed ontbijt en 's avonds bij het inchecken een aardige dame die ons een welkomstdrankje aanbood. Parkeren is eenvoudig als er een plek is.

Zeer fijn hotel in Munchen op geringe afstand van het centrum wanneer men openbaar vervoer neemt. Station is op loopafstand en een dagkaart kost niet veel. Wij hadden een fijne ruime familiekamer met 2 volwassenen en 3 kinderen.
