This was a I’m burnt out and need a break, and my friend had been hospitalized for months and wanted to get away. We came for peace this hotel did not contribute to that. I’ll start with I’ve stayed here a number of times without incident but it’s the last time for me. The housekeepers amazing. Maintenance amazing. The front end experience even with their interactions to “fix” not. My friend and I arrived. My friend is disabled and cannot move as easily as one may like. I went ahead to check in. I’m aware of requirements for id etc and advised despite the clerks repeat demand for my friends ID that we were getting into one room now and instead of her having to walk and stand and hurt herself we’d check hers in after. The clerk kept on with this ID for the other room while I said just worry about my room at present. This escalated to humiliating my disabled friend, and a manager saying we were the problem versus their staff. They continued the narrative it was a misunderstanding but it got worse. The rooms are aged. Over priced. I had a medical issue and became a spectator sport, the management has stated essentially it was protocol. Myself and the paramedics didn’t quite feel the Sam’s There was more issues with management and then the final bill came. Hotels.ca noted our cost and then the final bill was 1848 over what we booked on this app. This half rated hotel that doesn’t deserve a 4 star rating anymore. We are now fighting that they return my money. NEVER AGAIN
